Origin of baseball caps

Baseball cap is an extension of baseball. Baseball is a kind of ball game with strong collectivity and antagonism, which is mainly characterized by bat playing. It is widely carried out internationally and has a great influence. It is known as "the combination of competition and wisdom". It is especially popular in the United States and Japan and is called "national ball". Because of the great influence of baseball, baseball caps have also flourished with the development of baseball. According to the research of American experts over the years, baseball originated from cricket (also known as rounder). In 1839, the American Doubleday organized the first game very similar to modern baseball. At the beginning of the game, the players wore hats to cover the sun. Because of its particularity, the brim of the hat was relatively long to shield the eyes from the sun and obtain better results. This is the earliest baseball cap.

Baseball caps history

The baseball cap was not accepted in people's life at the beginning and was considered as a special item for athletes. In 1839, the first baseball game in history was held in gupas Town, New York. In 1860, professional baseball players began to appear in the United States. In 1871, the United States established the "national professional baseball players organization"; In 1876, the organization was renamed the American Baseball Federation. In 1881, another national professional baseball organization was established, which was later called the National Professional Baseball Federation. In 1884, the first championship between the two organizations was held, that is, the World Baseball Championship. After that, in 1910, William Howard Taft, then president of the United States, officially approved baseball as the "national ball" of the United States. Since then, baseball caps have been popularized among all baseball teams. At first, the players only wanted to keep out the sun. Later, no matter whether it was sunny or rainy, people would wear baseball caps whenever they played. In 1873, baseball was introduced from the United States to Japan. The Japanese professional baseball team was founded in 1934. Baseball caps were also introduced to Japanese baseball teams. After World War II, baseball was rapidly developed in European countries. Baseball has been played in more than 100 countries and regions on five continents of the world. Baseball caps were popularized all over the world, but they were only limited to baseball players. People did not regard baseball caps as articles in life. Baseball caps also became the symbolic decoration of baseball players at that time.

Baseball caps enter into China

Baseball caps came into China together with baseball. The earliest record of Chinese people playing baseball is that Zhan Tianyou, a Chinese engineer, organized the Chinese baseball team when he was studying at Yale University (1877-1881). Later, overseas Chinese and overseas students who returned from the United States and Japan brought baseball back to the motherland. In 1895, the baseball team was established in Beijing Huiwen Academy. In 1907, Beijing Huiwen academy held a competition against TongZhou Union College. This is the earliest baseball game in China. In 1913, the Far East Games were initiated by China, Japan and the Philippines. There were baseball games in all previous years, and China has sent representatives to participate in many times. Before the founding of the people's Republic of China, there were also baseball games in the Chinese games. Most of the participants were students. During the war of resistance against Japan, the Eighth Route Army carried out baseball in the Anti Japanese base areas of Northern Shaanxi, Shanxi, Chahar and Hebei. But at that time, baseball was only a rare sport, and not all athletes wore baseball caps. Because of the limited conditions, it was even more impossible to popularize it among the masses. In 1952, there was a baseball game in the first military games of the Chinese people's Liberation Army. In 1959, at the first national games, baseball was listed as an official game, with 23 provincial and municipal teams participating. The Beijing team won the championship. In 1975, at the third National Games, the baseball games were held in LvDa and Beijing. The first place was Tianjin. At the Fourth National Games in 1979, 14 provincial and municipal teams participated in baseball games, and the champion was the Beijing team. In September 1975, the baseball team of Aichi University of Japan came to China to visit the game, and China began the international exchanges of baseball. In August 1976, the baseball team of Japan's Fazheng University visited. In 1979, the Chinese baseball and Softball Association was established, and various provinces and cities also successively established branches.
